Krzysztof Joins SafePoint IT: A Journey Through Tech and Beyond

From Early Beginnings to Deep Expertise

Krzysztof earned his Associate’s degree in Computers and Information Systems from Oakton Community College, and holds both the CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications. He’s been in the IT world for about eight years, gaining hands-on experience from front-line helpdesk work all the way up to systems architecture and security.

What He’s Done So Far

• Krzysztof started at ABT Electronics in Glenview in a customer‐facing troubleshooting/helpdesk role.

• He then moved into a networking position at ABT, where he configured firewalls, switches, access points — not just for offices, but for high-end homes — plus audio and camera systems.

• Later, he worked with a managed service provider (MSP), serving as a systems administrator for a patent law office in downtown Chicago.

What He’s Doing Now at SafePoint IT

At SafePoint, Krzysztof has stepped into the role of Senior Systems Engineer. He designs, configures, and supports advanced IT infrastructure for our clients. He’s leading complex projects and ensuring that all systems are not just high-performance, but also secure. (Although he says he’s still settling into the role, he’s bringing a strong foundation of real-world knowledge.)

Life Outside the Screens

Krzysztof is also a devoted family man: he and his wife have a little boy, Konrad, who’s five months old and keeping them happily busy. When he gets spare time, you’ll likely find him outside: bicycling around Forest Preserves and practicing mindfulness — yoga and meditation help him recharge.
